Gadwall Drake Duck Acrylic Painting

With their intricate fine line patterned feathers, Gadwalls have a reputation amongst waterfowl artists for being hard to paint. I found that to be true! This painting is a study in neutrals, and the effects of light on feathers and water.
This painting is 7 x 10 inches, painted on an archival hardboard panel and varnished. It comes in a beautiful metallic german silver frame, no glass.
