Sinek Kuşu - Sold

A flittering glint in the turning leaves on a golden day, a flash glance for lucky eyes. Sinek Kuşu is Turkish for hummingbird and wood nymph. This little painting is a gift between sisters of Turkish heritage.

The maple leaves are real. I wanted a wind-blown mosaic effect to provide an airy playground for one of nature’s beautiful living jewels, an Anna’s Hummingbird.
